In Art children have weekly lessons in which they are given opportunities to draw, paint, print, make collages, use fabrics and clay. They are taught the skills and techniques and then given the opportunity to practise them to produce individual and group pieces of work. Children learn about notable artists and designers throughout history, taking inspiration from their work and creating original pieces. Children take pride in their art work which is displayed in the school’s ‘Art Gallery’ display for all parents and visitors to see.
